Housing — the biggest line
A long-term 1+1 runs roughly 15,000–25,000 TRY per month depending on district and complex; a 2+1 from 20,000–35,000. Owners raise prices in summer — the best hunting season is October to February.
Utilities: metered electricity and water (summer AC use raises the bill noticeably), plus aidat — the complex fee for pool, security and cleaning — usually 500–2,500 TRY monthly.
Groceries, transport, mobile
Groceries for two run roughly 15,000–25,000 TRY per month shopping at chains (Migros, BİM, A101) and Tuesday farmer markets, where produce is several times cheaper. City buses are cheap, but life in Alanya is fundamentally easier with a car.
A foreigner's mobile plan starts around 500 TRY per month; home internet is 500–800 TRY. Initial setup — plan choice, phone registration — is one of those first-week chores we help close.
Bottom line: what to budget
A couple living comfortably without extravagance: roughly 50,000–80,000 TRY per month including a 1+1 rental. A family with a child and a car: from 80,000–120,000. Honest numbers — neither survival mode nor luxury.
One-off setup costs (furniture, appliances, kitchenware, deposits) usually total 150,000–350,000 TRY depending on the apartment. We'll draft an exact budget for your case, free.
